Let’s talk about a strain I just tried for the first time – Wedding Crasher. This Indica-dominant hybrid is a cross of Wedding Cake and Purple Punch, both strains I find useful for managing my depressions. When I came across a herb that put these two classics together, I had to try it out.

I ordered a gram from the local delivery service and what I got was a solid 1.28 gram nug. When I say solid, I mean super chunky. I couldn’t even squeeze the bud. The smell was rather mellow – cherry, pepper and a hint of a gassy aroma. Surprisingly, cutting up the super dense, well-cured nug didn’t release any extra aromas. And did I mention this nug was dense? Oh my… like cutting through thick nougat – maybe one of the chunkiest nugs I’ve ever seen!

With the first hit I was struck by a strong spicy, peppery, incense flavor… just a hint of sage and mint. Hoovering just under the main flavor was a touch of sweetness, very subtle.

Creeper? I’m thinking so, because I’m a few hits in and no effects yet. Oh, here it comes… it’s definitely a creeper. It’s starting up in the front of my forehead… and my fingers are getting sloppy on the keyboard – typing is taking extra concentration.

Ten minutes later, condition: stoned!

When that high finally started to kick in, it just rose like a tide coming in. It’s still rising… I can feel it while I type. Something about the high reminds me of drinking rum, which for me is a rather sloppy drink. I can’t drink rum without stumbling about and spilling my drink… so I don’t drink rum anymore. This strain gives me that same off balance feel.

This herb would be good for the person who really wants to feel strong body sensations when they smoke herb. Twenty minutes after smoking and my body still feels like it’s vibrating. I haven’t even gotten up and walked around – that seems like a bit of an adventure because my legs are rubbery feeling.

And I think the high is still building. Oh my!
