Welcome back to the Red Bench – it’s Wednesday and that means it’s time for a new video review!

This week I got into a strain called Dough G from Marley Natural, the brand that Bob Marley’s family has created. This Sativa-dominant strain came in at 18.6% THC, and was a pleasure to smoke – nice gassy flavors! Check out the video review where I unbox this herb and see what’s in the jar…

The Near Heaven Orchestra

You might have noticed the background music to our videos… that music is from a project of mine called The Near Heaven Orchestra. I create soundscapes – recordings that would make good soundtrack music. This project is a perfect example of what I mean.

The music you hear is from an album called On A Pleasant Distant Planet, and was recorded earlier this year, before the pandemic hit. The songs are all instrumentals and create a chill vibe. I was, of course, stoned when I wrote these songs! I listen to this album at least once a week, it’s very good background music while I’m writing.

“A haunted whistle, smokey rooms, saxophones and violins, dreams and starships, lonesome harmonicas under epic western skies, tender guitars, steady drum beats and a hi-desert vibe… landscapes of sound, dreamscapes, textured, abstract and ambient.”
